Theme: The first thing you should do when you choose to embark down memory lane is your theme. Are you going to do a scrapbook on dates, travel locations, happy times, maybe even food recipes? As for the seasoned scrapbookers, are you planning on making sections in your scrapbook? That means are you including everything possible all categorized on a timeline or in different sections?
If your scrapbook is going to include recipes, timelines don't really matter. However, if you're working on memories, vacations, or the kids you should consider a time frame. This will give you an idea of how big your scrapbook will be!

Inspiration: Now that you have your theme it’s time to start searching for inspiration! Pinterest is a great place to find a collection of the most creative scrapbooks. I use Pinterest, to find aesthetics that really speak to me, which will be key to your final masterpiece.

Your Pictures: At this point, you want to start gathering your photos, brochures, tickets, or anything else that you want to include in your scrapbook. A lot of people limit themselves to photographs, but this post is supposed to take you from a beginner scrapbooker to master crafter!
If you have reservations, tickets, or tokens from events stored in your emails, print those out too! Meaning, ticket stubs with a picture of you and your significant other will tell a much greater story than the picture alone. So, feel free to include things like that give more details to your story. - Organize: Once you have all your prints, it’s time to start putting them in order.
