Many people have been wondering more about wholesale and whether or not it could be something you do. I’m just here to let you know that buying wholesale can be a start to a whole new world (see what I did there). I also want to uncover the myth that only businesses, or people selling on marketplaces like Amazon, and eBay are the only people that buy in bulk.
This isn't the case, for example, shopping at BJ’s is a form of buying wholesale. And if you have a club membership to BJ’s, you already realize some of the benefits of buying wholesale. However, there’s so much more you can gain with the right wholesale shop! When you search in the right places, you’ll be on your way to a faster, and more efficient shopping experience. And even better, you’ll be on your way to big savings.
For a long time, people have questioned the benefits of buying wholesale. They question whether they could really save money and if they're even allowed to purchase wholesale items online, without being a business. If you've been wondering about these questions yourself, look no further. We're going to answer these questions for you!
Cracking the Myths of Buying Wholesale
First, shopping wholesale can save you money over a long period of time. Let's use toilet paper as an example. Toilet paper is a good that everyone uses every day and probably will forever. If you were to buy toilet paper at a local market you’re likely to spend around $20 for 24 rolls. It may seem like a good deal, but you have to wonder, are there better options elsewhere? And the answer is yes! When you buy toilet paper wholesale, you can get 96 rolls of toilet paper for $36! You can’t tell me that’s not a steal. You’re getting triple the toilet paper for a few bucks more.
The average person uses about 100 rolls of toilet paper every year! And for $36 you just covered yourself for 96% of the year. If you were to purchase this at a regular market, you'd be looking at spending $100 to get the same coverage. How's that for savings? So, when it comes to a family of 3-4 people, the savings could really add up over the year.
These kinds of savings apply to more than just toilet paper. You can save like this on almost any item that you’ll keep using day after day, week after week, or month after month. So, the myth of not saving money on wholesale goods is wrong! You can even save on things like parties and other events. By checking out wholesale party supplies or wholesale paper plates, or even decorations.
The next myth we’re breaking is the thought that individuals aren’t allowed to purchase goods wholesale. NOT TRUE! Well, in some cases it is, but you'd be surprised at the many places you can buy wholesale goods. There are some suppliers out there, that won't let you place any orders -- unless you have an EIN number. Which is basically, your business tax number. This is how some wholesale businesses stop consumers from purchasing. However, there are some wholesale businesses that don’t require you to own a business or have an EIN number.
I can’t speak for other wholesale businesses, as to why they don’t or do allow businesses and individuals to purchase. But I do know we do it to share the best prices on almost anything you can think of, to the greatest number of people.
